The Don Juan Band was the featured performer at Michael McDonald's private reception after Michael's concert at Ruby Diamond in Tallahassee, Florida. Former Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan vocalist Michael McDonald and his top-notch band filled Ruby Diamond Auditorium with big, glorious sound at Monday's sold-out concert. It was a sizzling performance that showcased McDonald's skills as a keyboard player and songwriter as well as his magnificent voice. Feisty female drummer Yvonne "Baby Girl" Preyer kept the beats rock-solid with McDonald on several duet numbers. Program selections included a stunning solo rendition of "All in Love is Fair" and an encore featuring Marvin Gaye's powerful classic "What's Goin' On?" At the post-concert gathering, McDonald lingered to chat with fans, sign autographs and talk with members of the Don Juan Band, which was the featured performance at the private reception.
